Kourtney Kardashian Barker is well aware of criticism about her choosing not to show her youngest son’s face on social media, but she’s not bothered by it.
The 46-year-old Poosh founder shares her 23-month-old son Rocky with husband Travis Barker. While her older children — sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, and daughter Penelope, 13, whom she welcomed with ex Scott Disick — have all appeared on the family’s reality shows and pop up occasionally on social media, Kardashian has opted out of showing Rocky’s face online.
She continued to hide Rocky’s face in a Friday, Oct. 17 Instagram post celebrating Halloween. Amid photos of Kardashian dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein, the proud mom included a photo of her young son standing at the wheel of a car.

However, she superimposed a jack-o’-lantern emoji over his face to maintain his privacy.
Critics took to the comments section to call out her decision.
“Why cover his face when everyone knows what he looks like,” one Instagram user wrote, with another adding, “Just weird to me you would even post the picture of just him and block out his face .. just don’t post it at all . So dumb.”
Another person wrote, “Still acting like we care what the kid looks like.”
The final comment prompted a response from one of Kardashian’s supporters, who wrote, “This is a sign you care btw.”
While Kardashian didn’t directly respond to the comments about her decision, she did “heart” the user’s comment, showing that she was well aware of the debate.

Other Instagram users also came to the mom’s defense, with one writing, “Just because paparazzi doesn’t respect the parents wishes and shows his face doesn’t mean they need to be bullied into posting him. It’s what they want.”
The eldest of the Kardashian siblings welcomed Rocky on Nov. 1, 2023, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed at the time.

Kourtney and Travis’ blended family includes Rocky, her children with Disick and the Blink-182 rocker’s three children with ex-wife Moaker — son Landon, 22, daughter Alabama, 19, and stepdaughter Atiana, 26.
