Lakers reveal injury report ahead of Friday’s game versus Timberwolves

The Los Angeles Lakers have had two full days off after they lost their 2025-26 regular-season opener to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. As a result, they have had a little time to review their deficiencies and get some rest before they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

In Tuesday’s game, Luka Doncic appeared to tweak his groin, while Austin Reaves was a modified participant in practice on Thursday due to a tweaked ankle. The good news is that neither of them is listed on the team’s injury report.

LeBron James continues to be unavailable due to sciatica, as are big man Maxi Kleber and rookie forward Adou Thiero.

Friday’s game will be an opportunity for the Lakers to gain a measure of revenge after Minnesota knocked them out of the first round of last season’s playoffs. Two days later, they will visit the Sacramento Kings before returning home to face the Portland Trail Blazers the following evening.

Next Wednesday, Oct. 29, L.A. will face the Timberwolves again, this time at Target Center in Minneapolis.
