Actor Jim O’Heir shared a video on Instagram earlier this week of his “Parks and Recreation” co-star Nick Offerman pranking him when they were coincidentally on the same flight to Indianapolis.

Both actors were on the show “Parks and Recreation,” a comedy TV-show that took place predominantly in a fictional town in Indiana, but real towns including Indianapolis and Muncie were also mentioned in the show.

Muncie is famously where O’Heir’s character, Jerry Gergich, has a time share. Gergich was often the butt of many jokes made by other characters throughout the show.

Before their flight was landing in Indianapolis, Offerman started making the safety announcements over the intercom before adding his own flair as his character from the show, the outdoorsy and cantankerous Ron Swanson.

“And as I always say, don’t half ass your safety, only whole ass,” Offerman said.

Offerman then teased O’Heir’s character in his closing words.

“If you’re traveling out to areas like Muncie and your last name is Gergich, first name Jerry, Larry, Barry or Gary, please behave yourself and travel safely,” Offerman said.

The video ends with Offerman heading back to his seat saying “Oh hello there,” to O’Heir and them both sharing a laugh.

Later O’Heir posted a selfie of the two of them at the Indianapolis International Airport clarifying that he had no idea they were on the same flight until he heard Offerman’s voice over the intercom.
